Week of March 28th

What an awful week of weather. From bitter cold and snow showers to a warm up but rain.  The weather this week has made it tough to wrap up the many projects going on around the club.

We started off the week working around the clubhouse parking lot.  We started working on the tie ins for the new cart path on holes 12 and 13.  We were also able to create the new planting bed at the 10th tee.  Plant material and mulch will be delivered today and we should have time to complete this area for the weekend.

Once the weather allowed, the crew was able to complete the last two drainage projects before spring actually shows up.  They were able to connect the exit drain from the new practice area to an existing drain between holes 1 and 9.  We also tackled the "Spring" in front of 1 tee.

On Thursday we continued working on our new sodded areas.  We were able to apply soil conditioner to all sodded areas to help with compaction and root development.

The parking lot project has been a battle this week.  We had some delays due to the bitter cold at the start of the week and the rain on Thursday.  With all the prep work completed last week the paving contractor finally starting paving on Wednesday.  They were able to complete about 80% of the parking lot.  The plan is to finish the lot on Monday (weather dependent).

While this week's weather delayed projects and made things difficult, the good news out of this week is that the patio project was completed.  McDonald and Sons have moved their equipment in.  We are meeting with the irrigation contractor on Friday and should be able to start the 15th tee complex early next week.  Pictures below of the finished patio project.
