Week of January 16th

Another productive week around the course.  The weather this week has been good for us to knock off some items on the winter work list.  Hopefully we will see some colder weather soon as some items on our list need to have frozen ground conditions.

This week the team started edging cart paths around the course.  They were able to complete the back 9 cart paths this week and will be starting the front 9 next week.

We continued to use our boom lift around the property cutting low branches to increase sunlight for the turf - also for playability and removing any dead wood in the trees.  This process will continue for the next several week as weather allows.

This week the team also continued our winter tree program removing some white pines off the course that have been damaged from years of storms.  They also removed some trees along the fence line ahead of the fence project.

Lastly, the fence project was started this week.  A local fence company will be working over the next couple months removing and replacing around 900 linear feet of damaged sections of the fence.  Above is the damaged fence being removed from the creek on hole 1.
