Week of May 1st
This week felt more like March than the first week of May. Chilly and rainy was the story this week. With the colder weather it allowed our team to knock out all our normal weekly tasks and finish up some details around the club.
We started off the week where we have started the last couple by brush cutting greens to work on texture. With the new brushes on the greens mowers we have been very happy with the results. Each week it seems to be less grass standing up.
Tuesday was a full mow out. The team was able to mow all playing surfaces to catch up for the rain late last week.
The middle of the week the team focused on details around the course. There was some trash talking about me not "having it" anymore, so I had to show the young guns I could still keep up with the weed-wacker. Well, at least I thought I could.
We found some time this week to start getting the pool ready. With only a couple weeks to go it was nice to be ahead of the game this year.
Lastly, the team will spend the rest of the week finishing the weekly punch list and getting ready for a beautiful weekend for golf. I hope to see everyone at the club enjoying the warmer weather.
Thanks for reading.
