Week of May 29th

What a week it has been.  The maintenance team has been super busy this week running around watering, finishing projects, starting new projects, irrigation repairs and normal weekly maintenance.  It's no surprise that the team crushed it.

I wanted to start this week's blog thanking our team.  Their efforts during these dry couple months have been unbelievable.  They continued this week watering greens, tees, fairways, rough and sod every day.  We will have to continue with a lot of hand watering until we get some relief.  Please keep an eye out for cart restrictions in the rough as our irrigation system doesn't cover many areas outside the fairways.

This week we started to see our summer help arrive.  We have 2 new additions to the team this year.  They both jumped right into training and have been learning the in's and out's of our weekly maintenance.

Painting of the proshop started this week and it is turning out great.  The painters should be wrapped up this week with the proshop and fences at the maintenance shop.

We did have some irrigation repairs to complete this week.  So far it has been a great year for our irrigation system.  We have had minimal repairs to fix.  The new pump house computers have been a great upgrade for us.

The new 16th green back runoff area was started this week.  This project should be wrapped up by the end of the week and we will be starting the tee expansions on holes 3 and 17.  The intent is to have more area on both par 3's to allow adequate time for the turf grass and divots to heal.

Lastly, for the remainder of the week the team will be focusing on water management, project and prepping the course for a great weekend.

Thanks for reading.
