Week of Oct. 16th
The weather this week was hit-and-miss. Most days were cloudy and chilly with the sun only peaking out for short periods of time. The end of the week looks mostly the same with some rain moving in late Friday. Our team had a great week and, with grass-growing slowing down, we are starting to switch gears.
The team started off the week with a light top-dressing on greens. They also trimmed down all the ornamental grasses around the property and finished fertilizing high traffic areas.
This week the team completed our fall aerification on tees and practice areas. The process started with a heavy application of sand followed by a 3/4" solid tine followed by a deep verti-cut. The team then dragged in the sand and cleaned up the thatch that was removed.
