Week of Jan. 22nd

This week the course remained covered with snow.  The maintenance team had another great week on and off the course.

The team spent most mornings inside the shop continuing to repair and refurbish our course accessories.  This week the team completed replacement of broken tee markers and making new traffic control.

This time of year our equipment managers are at their busiest.  Every piece of equipment is looked over from front to back to make sure it is safe and ready for the season.  And we are sure to fix any issues we identify that need to be addressed.

When the team was able to get back out on the course they continued cutting down stumps.  Our tree contractor is scheduled to come back out next week to pick up where they left off grinding stumps.

Also this week the team worked on the area left of the cart path on the 6th tee box.  This area was overgrown with underbrush.  The team fought through the snow cover to remove all the underbrush and open this area up.  Not only will this area look better but we will have increased sunlight and air movement to the tee box.

There has been some progress on the snow melt.  Most areas are melting fast but there is some major snow drifts around the property that will need some more time.  As promised, will we keep everyone in the loop on potential opening.  Be on the lookout for more information from the golf shop staff.

Lastly, the crew will be spending the remainder of the week getting the course blown off, cleaned up and ready for when we do open back up.
