Week of April 1st

If the old saying is true, then the flowers in May will be beautiful.  Wet and soggy week, with heavy rains every day.  We had 4.5" in the rain gauge on Thursday morning with more forecasted for Thursday evening and Friday morning.  The team was stuck inside most of the week working on shop improvements and course accessories but when the rain let up they tried their best to get work done on the course.

The team started off the week applying fertilizer to all the rough before the rain set in.

The rain didn't let up much this week but when it did the team worked on some cart path areas.  They first worked on the cart path next to the 18th green, removing tree roots and patching the areas.  Also they added another section of bricks to the cart path turn by 1 green.

Our new shop lift arrived this week and will be installed the middle of next week.  This is a much needed upgrade to the shop, as our old lift was over 30 years old and becoming unsafe to use.

Once the rain stopped Thursday morning the team started cleaning up from the storms.  They started off fixing bunkers which just shows you just how much rain we did get.  This is one of the very few times we have had to fix the renovated bunkers after a rain event.

For the remainder of the week the crew will be focused on cleaning up any remaining damage from the storms and getting ready for a chilly but dry weekend for golf.
