Week of Aug 12th.

It was a busy week for the team. The weather this week was a nice change - cool mornings and warm afternoons. The team hopes the weather stays this way, but I keep reminding them it's still August.

We started off the week with greens aerification.  The team was able to complete all 19 greens in one day.  They crushed it.  We are happy with the results, and will continue to work on sand and mowing heights through this week.

With all the rain last week one of the team's priorities was getting the sprayers out this week.  The team was able to spray greens, tees, fairway, and native areas.  The dry weather before last week made it impossible to spray herbicides in the native areas due to no soil moisture, so we were happy that we could finally get some of the weeds back under control.

The team found some time in the middle of the week to top-dress some of our approaches to help minimize some of the scalping issues we have been seeing.

Even with greens aerification the team was able to complete most weekly detail tasks.

We did encounter 3 irrigation leaks this week.  All the leaks were fixed by Wednesday.  Fingers crossed the irrigation repairs start to slow down.

For the remainder of the week the team will be focused on a full course mow-out for the weekend, working on getting greens heights back down to normal and moisture management.
