Week of Dec. 2nd

The maintenance team hopes everyone had a great holiday last week and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  This week was the first full week of December and old man winter showed up early.  The story this week was extremely cold mornings and windy afternoons.  Our team braved the cold and had a good week.

The cold mornings kept us inside for the start of most days this week.  The crew spent time cleaning and organizing shop areas as well as a lot of computer work.  Here is Connor entering this past year's spray records, weather data and going over all the programs we used this year.  This is a great time of year to reflect on what worked (and what didn't) so we can make adjustments to all our programs next year.

The team started some tree work this week with the focus on safety.  This tree was just right of the 13th green.  As you can see this tree was in rough shape.  The tree was completely hallow from top to bottom.

Also this week the team started elevating trees around the property.  They were able to complete about half of the course until they were shut down by high winds.

Lastly, this week the course was set up for winter.  There are double cups on the greens - please rotate the flag to the alternate cup after putting out.  Also winter tees are out and some of the tee boxes are closed.  Please only tee off from the red or white tee markers.  This will help with winter traffic and ensure the normal tee boxes are in great shape for next season.
