Week of April 21st

We could not have asked for a better weather week. Chilly mornings and warm afternoons have the course really waking up. It was a very busy week for the maintenance team. The main focus this week was aerification of greens and approaches. The team did an amazing job completing topdressing, punching, dragging, cleaning cores, brushing and rolling all greens and approaches in 2 days. We were very pleased with the results from aerification and we were able to spray wetting agent and soil conditioner a day early. Our first Native Area spray went out this week. This application was applied for pre- and post-emergent weed control as well as plant growth regulators for chemical thinning. Once aerification was completed the team continued sodding areas around the course and catching up on mowing during the second half of the week.
