Week of May 2nd
This was a very busy week at the club. Even with some weather challenges and hiccups the crew continues to knock it out of the park.
This week the crew was able to plant our seasonal flowers around the clubhouse grounds and golf course. Here is Edgar and Papa Juan planting over 100 flats which is almost 1700 flowers.
This week we also started to see some new equipment arrive. On the trailer is two aerators. The equipment on the left is a large area aerator for fairways and rough. The one to the right is a deep tine aerator for greens, tee, fairways and rough which will allow us to create a hole up to 14 inches deep. With the current supply chain issues everyone has been seeing, we will continue to receive new equipment throughout the year.
We are happy to say the native areas we established over the last two years are looking great. We took the ropes down on hole #3 this week. I want to remind members and guests that golf carts are not permitted in these areas. In this last picture you can see the damaged caused by golf carts entering the native areas.
With the anticipated rain for today and tomorrow we decided to have Fernando top dress the Putting Green one more time before we open it up next week. This will help with the firmness of the green and also help smooth it out.
Finally, M.T. Laney were able too finish cart path on #15 and #9. We will have to stay off it for the weekend, but will be opening it up next week. McDonald and Sons will be back next week to finish the edges.
