Week of May 25th

  Rough start to the week but a beautiful ending.  It was a tough work week with all the rain last weekend, but our team made the best of it and had a very productive week.   Last weekend was not great timing but brought much needed rain to help with the drought.  From last Thursday through this Wednesday the course received 5.2" of rain.  Even with all the rain over the last week we are still in a drought and currently 4" behind for the year.     The team started off the week spiking greens to help introduce oxygen into the saturated soils from the rain.  Also, we worked on texture double cutting green with the groomers engaged.  Groomers help stand up the grass for a better cut and playability.  We will continue grooming greens every week throughout the rest of the spring and early summer.     This week was a busy spray week to help get ahead of Member Guest next week.  All short grass was sprayed with our week...

  Another great week for the maintenance team.  This week brought more below average temperatures and some much needed rain.  Our team had an extremely busy week.   The team started off the week in full detail mode.  On Monday the team knocked out trimming the fence line back.  With the continued investments from the membership, trimming the fence line used to take us weeks to complete, but now with our Ventrac with the Boom Mower attachment the team can complete this task in 1 full day.  We will also be able to keep the fence trimmed more often throughout the season.    Detail work continued on Tuesday, with a full bunker service, creek and pond details.   This week we had our asphalt company out completing much need upgrades to the equipment wash pad area and a new additional cart path between the 14th and 18th tee boxes.     Also this week the team put the finishing touches on the new practice green at the poo...
