Week of June 6th
Another great week at the club. The week started off dry, then we received almost 3 inches of rain on Wednesday night and the weekend looks hit or miss. The crew did an amazing job getting the course prepared every day and prepping for Member Guest.
The week started off with all hands making sure greens, tees, fairways and rough were prepped for the dry weather.
Monday night we had our first "Divot Party" of the year. We had more than 50 members attend, fixing ball marks and filling every tee and fairway divot. Thank you to all the members who participated. We can't wait to do it again.
This week we also were able to install the new wind screen at the pool. Hopefully this will help keep out some of the debris from the parking lot.
We were able to fertilize all rough on Tuesday ahead of the midweek rains. This will help our rough throughout the summer months.
If you wanted to know when it was going to rain next year, it's a safe bet to put it on the calendar for the night before Member Guest. We received a total of 2.6" of rain on Wednesday night and Thursday morning. The crew crushed putting the course back together. By the time Member Guest started you would have never known we almost got 3 inches of rain.
Lastly, we wanted to take some time to remind everyone to please keep all 4 tires of the golf carts on the cart paths around all tees and greens.
Thanks for reading.
