Week of June 26th

Another busy week for your maintenance team.  A little summer heat and humidity has finally arrived.  We did receive storms last weekend and the beginning of this week which gave the team a break from dragging hoses but there was a lot of catching up to do this week.  To no one's surprise the crew knocked this week out of the park.

The teamed played catch up at the beginning of the week having to mow and spray all playing surfaces before the next round of rain.

We applied another round of top-dressing to all greens this week in anticipation of heavy storms.

The storms this week gave us a break from watering and a chance to catch up on details around the course.  The team was able to mow surrounds twice this week, check all sand depths in the bunkers, continued making sure our green edges stay consistent, trim creeks and touch up all string trimming.

Most of the new sod from the tee projects is doing well and opened for play.  We are having a little trouble with drying out the tee expansion on hole 17.  We needed to limb up a couple trees behind the tee box to increase the sun light hitting this area.  We are hoping this will help and we will continue to monitor the moisture in case there is another reason for the excess water.

Lastly this week the team will be spending Friday and the weekend prepping for our July 4th festivities.  We hope everyone has a great and safe holiday weekend.
