Week of March 24th

Another beautiful weather week at the Club.  Our maintenance team had a very busy and productive week.  They are firing on all cylinders and are excited for the upcoming season.

This week the team was able to aerate the last 3 fairways.  This process is needed to help with water infiltration and relieve compaction setting us up for the season.

The irrigation system was fired up this week.  With the cold winter we were expecting some issue.  The team completed 6 irrigation leaks this week.  We have started testing the system for proper functionality and should finish testing by the end of the week.

Also this week the team laid out 18 pallets of sod.  Some areas were sodded because of tree work and thin spots from last season, but most areas that need to be sodded were cart path edges around greens and tees.  These cart path areas have been sodded every year and continue to be an issue.  As a reminder please keep all 4 tires on the cart paths around all greens/tee complexes and all par 3's.

Lastly, for the remainder of the week the team will be concentrating on cleaning up from fairway aeration, sodding, testing irrigation and getting the course ready for a warm sunny weekend.
