Week of August 25th
What a season it has been. It is crazy to think that after record rainfall early this summer, we are now talking about droughts. August 2025 will go down as the driest August of all time. Here at the club we have only received 0.09" of rain for the entire month. This season is Top 3 toughest seasons that I have been involved in. After making it through some of the worst summer wet and hot conditions I have seen only to have Mother Nature finish the summer off in a drought.
I can't express how lucky we are to have such dedicated staff. Once again the team had an amazing week fighting through hose work and getting all normal weekly task completed.
The staff has done an amazing job with moisture management this week. The team started off every day with prepping the course for the day and - with the low humidity, wind and lack of rainfall - this has been a challenge.
All weekly details were completed this week in between hand watering.
Also this week the team tackled the new Native Area behind the 6th green, stripping the old turf off then seeding. As the seed germinates please keep all carts out of this area.
Lastly, for the remainder of the week the team will be focused on moisture management and getting ready for Club Championship weekend. Good luck to all the competitors.
