Week of August 5th

 

What an amazing week.  The team knocked it out of the park this week and took advantage of our 3-day aerification closure.  

Here are some pictures of the team hard at work punching greens, tees, approaches and practice areas. 

The team also took advantage of the closure and sprayed wetting agent on greens, tees and fairways.  Also we were able to sneak in our monthly rough sprays.  

Even with all the punching and cleanup the team was still able to get some detail work in: trimming creeks, clubhouse areas and spot-spraying native areas.  

After greens were punched we went after the stubborn area on 16 green.  The team stripped the dead turf, removed the contaminated soil and replace the area with fresh turf from the nursery.

 With the limited play this week we decided to spray out the new native area behind the 6th green.  This area will be roped off and restricted from cart traffic while the non-selective herbicide works.  

For the remainder of the week the team will be focused on mowing and finishing details to get ready for a great weekend of golf.
